2003-11-21 [Copper LeGree]: Two-handed sword?
2003-12-12 [Nairda]: staff? you mean jo or don't you? (aikido?)
2004-01-23 [windowframe]: me thinks they seperate things
2004-01-24 [Aristotle]: Grr, I'm tired of everyone thinking staff should be called jo, or bo. There are non-Japanese martial arts, you know. Staffs are more used in Chinese martial arts than in Japanese, in my experience. And then there are Westerners, who also used staffs. And that Filippine stick-fighting stuff. And I think they use staffs in capoeira sometimes, which is Brasilian, but I'm not sure. Sorry I burst out like that, but I'm tired of people thinking Japanese martial arts are the only ones.
2004-01-24 [windowframe]: *glomps [Aristotle] dood, 4 that, I wuv u. *grins* I was gonna say something myself, but i figured i'd wait for a reply from the ever so knowledgable [Nairda] first.
2004-01-25 [Aristotle]: Ehm. Thanks for the glomping. Um. How do you glomp someone, anyway?
2004-01-25 [windowframe]: 'To tackle from the back in an embrace' O.o
2004-01-25 [Aristotle]: Oh. Sounds... fun.
